Privacy Protection Summary

Privacy Policy

Ludtave values user privacy and complies with relevant laws and regulations. Collected information is used only for service provision purposes and will not be provided to third parties without users' explicit consent.

1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information

Ludtave Social Media Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'Company') processes personal information for the following purposes and does not use it for purposes other than the following.

  • Member registration and management
  • Service provision and content usage
  • Marketing and advertising
  • Service improvement and development

2. Items of Personal Information Collected

The Company collects the following personal information to provide services.

  • Required items: Email address, password, nickname
  • Optional items: Profile image, bio, location information, interests
  • Automatically collected items: IP address, cookies, service usage records, device information
  • In iOS apps, we comply with Apple's privacy policy and separately request user consent for ad tracking through the App Tracking Transparency framework.

3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

The Company destroys such information without delay after the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved. However, if there is a need to preserve information according to relevant laws, member information will be retained for a certain period as prescribed by relevant laws as follows.

  • Records related to contracts or withdrawal of subscription: 5 years
  • Records related to payment and supply of goods: 5 years
  • Records related to consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years
  • Login records: 3 months

4. Procedure and Method of Destroying Personal Information

The Company destroys personal information without delay when it becomes unnecessary due to expiration of retention period, achievement of processing purpose, etc. The destruction procedure and method are as follows.

  • Destruction procedure: Information entered by members is transferred to a separate DB after the purpose is achieved and stored for a certain period according to internal policies and other relevant laws or destroyed immediately.
  • Destruction method: Information in electronic file format uses technical methods that cannot reproduce records.

6. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company does not provide users' personal information to third parties in principle. However, the following cases are exceptions.

  • When users have explicitly consented
  • When there are special provisions in laws or it is unavoidable to comply with legal obligations
  • When it is deemed necessary for the urgent benefit of life, body, or property of the data subject or third parties

7. Users' Rights and Exercise Methods

Users can exercise the following rights according to relevant laws such as the Personal Information Protection Act.

  • Request to access personal information
  • Request to correct or delete personal information
  • Request to suspend processing of personal information
  • Withdraw consent to collection, use, and provision of personal information
  • Rights can be exercised through the settings menu in the service or in writing, by phone, or email to the Personal Information Protection Officer.

8. Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices

The Company uses 'cookies' that store and retrieve usage information from time to time to provide individualized customized services to users.

  • Cookies are small pieces of information that the server used to operate the website sends to the user's browser and are stored on the user's computer hard disk.
  • Users have a choice regarding cookie installation. Therefore, users can allow all cookies, verify each time cookies are stored, or refuse to store all cookies by setting options in their web browser.

Collection Items and Purpose of Use

The Company collects the following personal information to provide services, and the collection purpose for each item is as follows.

1. Collection Items at Sign Up

  • Email address: Member identification and login, delivery of notices
  • Password: Protection of member account
  • Nickname: User identification within service
  • Profile image: Display user profile within service
  • Bio: Display on user profile
  • Location information: Provide location-based services (separate consent required)
  • Interests: Recommend customized content
  • Date of birth: Provide services by age group (separate consent required)
  • Gender: Provide customized services (separate consent required)

2. Information Collected During Service Usage

  • IP address: Service security and prevention of unauthorized use
  • Cookies: Maintain login status, provide user convenience
  • Service usage records: Service improvement and provision of customized services
  • Device information (OS, device model, etc.): Service optimization and security
  • Access logs: Service security and prevention of unauthorized use

3. Information Collected During Payment

  • Credit card information, account information and other payment information: Payment processing (processed through payment gateway and not directly stored by the Company)
  • Mobile phone number: Identity verification for mobile payment
  • Payment history: Service usage record management, tax invoice issuance, etc.

4. Methods of Collecting Personal Information

  • When users consent to personal information collection and directly enter information during member registration and service usage
  • When personal information is provided by partner services or organizations
  • When collected through web pages, mail, fax, phone, etc. during customer center consultation
  • When automatically generated information such as cookies and logs is collected during service usage

User Rights

Users can exercise the following rights according to relevant laws such as the Personal Information Protection Act.

1. Request to Access Personal Information

Users can request access to their personal information processed by the Company. The Company allows users to access such personal information within 10 days from the date of receiving the user's request. However, according to Article 35, Paragraph 4 of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company may restrict or reject users' access requests in the following cases.

  • When access is prohibited or restricted by law
  • When there is a risk of harming the life or body of others or unfairly infringing on the property and other interests of others

2. Request to Correct or Delete Personal Information

Users can request correction or deletion of their personal information processed by the Company. However, deletion cannot be requested when such personal information is specified as a collection target in other laws. The Company investigates such personal information within 10 days from the date of receiving the user's request, takes necessary measures such as correction or deletion, and notifies the user of the results.

3. Request to Suspend Processing of Personal Information

Users can request suspension of processing of their personal information processed by the Company. The Company decides whether to suspend processing within 10 days from the date of receiving the user's request and notifies the user of the results. However, according to Article 37, Paragraph 2 of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company may reject users' processing suspension requests in the following cases.

  • When there are special provisions in laws or it is unavoidable to comply with legal obligations
  • When there is a risk of harming the life or body of others or unfairly infringing on the property and other interests of others
  • When it is difficult to perform the contract, such as not being able to provide services agreed upon with users if personal information is not processed, and the user has not clearly expressed their intention to terminate the contract

4. Methods of Exercising Rights

Users can exercise rights related to personal information in the following ways.

  • Exercise rights through settings menu in service
  • Exercise rights in writing, by phone or email to the Personal Information Protection Officer
  • Exercise rights through an agent (in this case, a power of attorney according to Form No. 11 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act must be submitted)
